We’ve put together a handy Seller’s checklist for you:

• V5 Registration Document. This is the one with your name & address and your car’s details.
• MOT Test Certificate (if applicable). If your car’s over 3 years old you’ll probably have one of these.
• Road Tax
• Service History (if applicable). A great selling point.
• Spare keys
• Give it a wash! Obvious we know, but we can’t over-emphasise the importance of presentation – just look at our staff!

OK, you may have to have a root-around in the Kitchen Drawer to get some of these things, but each makes it more attractive to potential buyers and that can help achieve a higher price.
